Dr. Hawa earned his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Neuroscience (1999, 2001) at the American University of Beirut. He later received his medical training at the University of Balamand in Lebanon (2005). He moved to the USA in 2006 and joined the obstetrics and a gynecology Residency program at The George Washington University Hospital (2010). He later pursued a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery through the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) at GWUH (2011). He is board certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He enjoys the minimally invasive approaches to major surgeries with same day procedures and fast recoveries moving away from traditional open surgeries.

He is fluent in English, French, Arabic, and medical Spanish.
