Dr. Block began practicing medicine with Contemporary OB/GYN Associates in 1991. Dr. Block received his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1980. He attended Temple University School of medicine where he completed six advanced biology courses post baccalaureate studies in 1982. Dr. Block remained at Temple University; where he received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1987 and went on to complete his internship and residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in 1991.

Dr. Block received his Board Certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995.

Dr. Block has been voted one of Washington, DC’s Top Doctors in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010 as well as 2011. Dr. Block is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He also is a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society as well as the Medical Chirurgical Society of Maryland.

Dr. Block maintains hospital privileges at Holy Cross Hospital and Laurel Regional Hospital.
