Originally from Massachusetts, I completed my OB/GYN residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. I am excited to be part of the Capital Women’s Care team in Montgomery County, although I still think that lobster is better than crabs!
My decision to join Capital Women’s Care was made based on the passion and dedication to care that all of our physicians exhibit. The group is committed to caring for women throughout every stage of life, which is exactly what drove me to pursue OB/GYN as a career in medical school. I look forward to the opportunity to take care of women from menarche to beyond menopause. My professional interests include high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery.
I gave birth to my first baby (Lucas) in June of 2017, and the experience of pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post partum has enabled me to better understand what my patients go through and better connect with them. Motherhood has been the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life so far, and I am excited to help my patients at each stage of this amazing process.
Aside from OB/GYN, my next biggest passion is working out. I was captain of the track team at Yale University, where I competed in the heptathalon and the 400m hurdles. While I don’t miss the shot put (not my strongest event), I still enjoy running, cross-training, biking, workout classes, and anything else I can do to keep moving. Also, as a relatively new resident of Montgomery County, I enjoy exploring the local area with my husband and son and look forward to our trips to the Finger Lakes in upstate New York and back to Massachusetts to visit my three nieces and the rest of my family.
