Dr. H. Reza Zahiri, DO, FACS is a general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery, based in North Bethesda, MD. He completed his residency in surgery at the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2014, followed by a 2 year fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Hernia and GI Surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr. Zahiri is an expert in hernia surgery, including abdominal wall reconstruction for complex or recurrent hernia disease, and minimally invasive GI surgeries including hiatal hernia repair. He is an expert in utilization of the latest technologies such as robotics, techniques and care pathways to deliver advanced minimally invasive surgeries to his patients. He currently serves as the Founder and CEO of EliteCare Surgical Specialists and has held positions at Suburban Hospital and Luminis Health among others. His research has been published in Surgical Endoscopy and Surgical Innovation.
